INTRODUCING : BOOK CLUB THURSDAY

Hello Everyone,
I will be starting a monthly column on my blog which would be tagged "BOOK CLUB THURSDAY". The aim is to recommend a book for you each month which you can get at a book store nearby or in fact a community library and read. I would be taking it upon my self to dig deep to search for books that are worth the time reading for my readers.
The type of books that would be introduced from time to time would cover a vast range of genres and book styles. Sections would include

1. Biograghies
2. Memoirs
3. Fiction
4. Christian Living
4. Business/ Management
5. Classics
6. Inspirational

And many more. Group discussions would break out from time to time as readers respond to how their worldview has been changed through the book for a particular month. Guys, i just can't wait for this! It's time to dust our kindles, journals, pens, and books. Get your fingers crossed and your shoes ready, you might be visiting the bookstore anytime soon. Next thursday, The adventure begins!

ON GIVING : MUSINGS OF A SAINT

What you give remains

When you give

What you just did was to freeze it in the hands of time

You will always be remembered for it

If you want it to last forever

Why don't you give it today.

THE MAKING OF BEAUTIFUL: 'CTRL + Z'

I’m playing with Paint with a friend of mine. She’s actually drawing with the mouse and I’m tagging along admiring. She makes a mistake and I press ‘Ctrl + Z’ to undo her mistake and she smiles and says ‘Thank You’.

But it’s got me thinking. It’s got me thinking the possibilty of us pressing ‘Ctrl + Z’ in real life. Ever been in situations you just wish you could press the undo button in real life? Like, said the wrong word, made a wrong move or made a decision you wish you never made. Ever been there before? You sure have been. But it’s ridiculous how some would go to any length to undo the past, trying to find a ‘Ctrl+Z’ button that doesn’t exist.

There’s an amazing scripture I have come to love over the years. It’s from Romans 8: 28 and I quote ‘And we know that God causes EVERYTHING work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them’. My heart is stilled more anytime I read this scripture. God has a plan for the past. It’s like God keeps saying ‘give me everything, your past, your future and even your now and let me make something beautiful out of it’. He doesn’t press ‘CTRL + Z’ but he has a way of making something beautiful from it that leaves us speechless. The Key – Surrender, falling in love with him and having a relationship with him. It’s in the things He leads us into what he has in store for us.

My friend just finished on Paint. Have a look

I think this is beautiful. And she decided to name this ‘Happy Day’. And I’m reminded we can have happy days though sad days have gone by.

Are you running? Trying with all you can to to find a ‘CTRL + Z’ key in real life. Pause and think about this please: You can’t change what you’ve done, but you can change who you’ll become.

Whatever ugliness might be in the past, it’s actually beautiful, you haven’t just seen it through God’s lens.
